I agree and have read/heard everything you just stated about the STT Pros and the D-Tracs and Fierce tires. I'd love to hear how the Pros perform on your LR3. As we all know tire performance can vary from fitment to fitment.
I have 2 more years with my MT/Rs though...at least. They were made in 2007 I believe (probably late '07 as I bought them in early '09). 10 years is the guidelline....

I'll chime in on this after I test fit these.
I have many posts on here regarding the 285/65 R18 NITTO Trail Grapplers I have mounted on OEM wheels, which are ridiculously wide, causing rubbing on the upper A arm at Normal Height and even worse rubbing at Off Road Height or under compression. I currently require 3/16 inch spacers just to get by. These spacers remove the need for longer studs or expensive spacer kits, but are not ideal.
The new American Racing AR893 wheels have a back spacing difference of nearly an inch, so spacers will be a moot point, but this will change the swing radius just the same.
The 285's measure out at 32.59 with a width of 11.22 inches (285mm, of course). As a result I expect A LOT of clearance issues. I am most likely going to have to sacrifice the width and the look of the aggressive sidewall (and possibly some of the height) in order to gain back the clearance for the new swing radius.
With all that said... I still end up with a wider stance due to the gain in back spacing, even if I lose the width of the tire tread.
The last photo is the previous summer set up. I only had one set of four wheels. Now with my spare OEM and five new ARs, the winter tires are now on the OEM wheels and the Grapplers are on the new ARs. I have 5 of each wheel and so if all else fails I can run the Grapplers as spares once I buy new rubber for the ARs in the spring. Hopefully the size difference will not be so far off to cause differential troubles, but if so the Grapplers could be sold to recoup some of the cost of six new tires.

So the 265/65/18 will fit the LR3 with NO rubbing issues? No need to re-route any wires? I was thinking 265/60/18 but would like the 265/65/18 if no problems for stock LR3.

the 65s are just over an inch bigger than the 60s. If you are looking for a tire with no lift, you may have to settle for 265/60 R18
