Haven’t checked the hex bolt yet. Still herding kids through morning. 🤣

Almost ready to go out a look.

Aaaannnnnnddd, we’re back.

Looked at the hex bolt and it’s spinning quickly in time with the belt. Assuming it’s the right one I’m looking at: drivers side, lowest one. Regardless, all of the wheels and pulleys are spinning in time with the belt. Same with the AC in the on or off position which I expected.

Returned the offenses the can and am now waiting for the real parts store to open.

Finding what I need is harder than it seems between family fun.

The AC system pressure is between 97 and 105 PSI and the compressor current is pulling low amps (I can’t remember what but it seemed low) on the GAP Tool.

Any idea what amps it’s supposed to pull?

You need high and low pressure readings, ideally. Amperage does not matter, it is not an electric AC pump.

I’ve got a can of R134a and a transfer hose with a pop-up gage. No one has a real gauge to rent and the only way to get one is to use a can with sealant so that’s out.

Tried what I’ve got with no success. Sounds like it starts to transfer and then stops, a lot like the pressure evens out. Can still feels full. AC is still warm.

If the pressure just evens out, then your compressor isn’t compressing.

The compressor current at 0.8 amps is max demand.

Here’s live data from mine today while warming up. It’s hot here in Texas today!

This won't help you drooly, but thought I'd mention it. The AC pulley connection is *supposed* to shear off when the compressor seizes, but it doesn't always work that way. How do I know? On my last LR3, my original compressor seized and threw the belt.
I'm sure it works as designed most of the time though

It's confirmed. The clutch sheered and let the pulley free spin when the compressor blew.
