Default Abruptly started whining off idle

2005 HSE, 89k. I made several short trips today with no issue. Started it up and noticed a whine at idle. Here what I know so far:

Noise responds to engine rpm.
Does not respond to use of power steering use.
Power steering fluid is full.
Whines when cold and at operating temp.
Noise appears to come from passenger side, high and near the radiator.
Cant notice the noise above 20mph

Here's a quick video I took, sorry for the lack of lighting:

Your thoughts?

Idler pulley? Accessory pulley? Secondary air?

Could be the alternator. I had one go out about 2 years ago and it sounded a lot like that.

I did have a period earlier this winter where i got a lit up dash, engine and transmission faults, etc. I figured it was a bad battery, but it stopped doing it so I stopped worrying about it. Maybe an early indication that my alternator was on its whey out.

Ill take a closer look today when its light out.

My bet is on the A/C electronic clutch bearing. Try pushing the ECON button on your A/C, and see if that stops the noise.

I'd agree with A/C or Alternator.

It ended up being the primary belt tensioner. Harmless enough, just had to wait for the part to be delivered.

That's an odd one, it must have been a bearing whine then? It's due for belts at 95k anyway... and it is a good idea to replace all those at the same time...

Funny thing the alternator died 3 days later. Again no big deal, had to wait for delivery. For that price I expected it to be delivered by a stripper...
