Default AC compressor

2008 LR 3 V8 4.4
I replaced my AC compressor with a Denso compressor, it lasted 2 months then seized. I have no idea why it seized it was fitted well and had good quality gas in it.
Can you guys recommend a suitable compressor please?

Do you recall if it said it had the needed compressor oil? If it didn't come with oil that might have caused it to seize.

Why did you replace it in the first place? And when you did, what exactly was all done to the system if anything? Also where did you get this Denso unit from?

Hi Dakota
The compressor (Chinese) that was in when i bought the car had seized up.
The system was flushed to get rid of any bits that was in the pipes. New condenser and filter were installed with the new Denso compressor.
It was sourced in Dubai at a parts dealer.

I'd be going back and asking them to fix it, new compressor shouldn't seize so quickly unless it wasn't fitted or system flushed correctly.

^ Ditto.

But thanks for following up. I can only think that *maybe* the flush was not done enough and that maybe some metal bits remained which contaminated the new compressor. But generally what they did is the correct process with the only remaining thing to do is replacing the evaporator(s), but that is not recommended unless there was a lot of contamination and the flush would have revealed just how bad things were. A new Desno compressor should last many, many years. I can't really recommend a better brand.
