AC Not Blowing After Braniac Idea to change Cabin Air Filter
Well - the title of the post says it all.
My AC was blowing cold, but not hard. I decided to go in and see if it was the cabin filter. I dropped the glove box and took the filter out - bad shape. I cleaned her off (not replaced yet because no one locally carries it).
While I had the cabin air filter out I decided to turn the AC ON.... to see if the air was blowing at a higher velocity. It blew, until it didn't.. I had it on for maybe ten seconds.
I reinstalled the cabin filter and turned her back on. NADA.
What could I have POSSIBLY done?
This is not the original blower motor. I replaced that - like 75K ago... (204K on her now).
Thanks for any help.

With everything turned off, see if you have debris in the fan cage.
If you have small hands, you can reach in through the cabin filter opening, if not, drop the blower and remove anything that might have dropped in there. - Make sure everything is off (safest way would be to disconnect the battery) the fan blades are sharp and spin pretty fast.

Just circling back on this. So - it seemed too coincidental that the blower motor died AS i was removing the cabin filter, but given the blower seemed to not be blowing strong and rather than attempting to pretend I know how to use a multi-meter i just got a new blower on ebay for $60.00 and threw it in. Guess that was it. She blows so good and hard now.
Second Blower motor i've replaced on this. 205K on her so i guess that's not too strange. Thanks, All.

Exactly right. First time was a nightmare because I made the assumption that the glove box needed to be removed and that was difficult with special tool. But - others have pointed out my failings. You need not remove the glove box fully.
There is nothing technical about the job. Its just about getting in a tight spot for ten minutes and removing three screws and a harnesss and you're done.
Here's the vid. Notice his emphasis on "properly ". Funny guy.
