Accessory Drive Belts

Accessory Drive Belts
These are another item on my list that I think I can do myself.
For cosmetic stuff, sound system stuff, or external plug-n-play parts, I'm okay with the DIY route. With anything involving anything under the hood, I'm more cautious...scared actually.
Is replacing accessory drive belts easy?
(First, I'd need to locate them...)

No, not easy.
The link below relates to the accessory drive.

As you are new to the 3, you might want to spend a few weeks going thru the various files in my album. The link below displays about 43 of the over two hundred or so files within. To get access the others, just "walk" up the computer file chain. Many of the files have close to two thousand hits.

Yes, you will require Torx wrenches to remove the belts plus more than that such as a Ford 36mm fan wrench etc. It is not that fun a task but one necessary to learn as there are associated tension pulley bearings that fail and eventually require replacement plus replacement of the alternator requires a knowledge of the area as well.
Scared is good by the way - a lot of the stuff under there is alloy, hence jerking on whatever can be an expensive lesson. The fan bit is reverse thread as well - stuff like that can be expensive when got wrong.
