Default AIR/OIL FILTER CHANGING...

Anyone have advice on how to locate/replace air and oil filters? I have purchased the K&N filters, but the owner's manual is of NO help! I cannot seem to figure this out on my own, which leaves me feeling like not the swiftest deer in the forest!
Thanks for any help.

I have not had to change the oil filter myself yet, though I'm sure a quick crawl under the truck would locate it once you know what to look for. As far as the air filter, I have K&N myself and the installation is quite simple. On the left/ front side of the engine compartment (as you face your truck from the front) theres a plastic square box with approximately 6 phillips screws holding it's cover in place. Remove them with a standard phillips crew driver ( moderately long one) and lift the cover. The factory filter comes right off and the K&N replacement fits like a glove in its place. Cover back up and you're done

PS.

Don't forget to place some of the fancy K&N stickers that come with the filter on the case itself so that on your next service, some distracted technician doesn't throu it out and replace it with another paper filter [&:].
