Default Air suspension noise of 05 LR3

Hello,
I just bought a 05 LR3 and noticed some noise of air suspension every time when the car is started.
Not sure if its the noise of some motor or compressor of air suspension system. It is loud but will be gone after 2-3 minutes.
Anyone has ideas what it is and how to fix it?
Thanks a lot !

It's normal for the compressor to cycle on when the vehicle is started but I don't think it should run for 2 or 3 minutes. Mine (and others I've driven) run for maybe 15 to 30 seconds at the most upon startup. Someone else might chime in with a different story but as far as I know 2 or 3 minutes is long. When else does it run? Did you have the vehicle thoroughly checked out before you bought it and if so was anything wrong with the air suspension system? Is it the original compressor?

Mine runs about that long upon start-up too...especially the first start-up of the day.

To be sure it is the compressor and not some other evil sent by the Rover gods, you could remove the 60 amp fuse line 10E in the battery fuse box.

For the first start in the day, it lasts longer.
I am the third owner and the second owner knows nothing!!
I asked her these questions but the only answer is "dunno".
How much does it cost to replace the compressor?

In this way, the compressor and air suspension system is disabled, correct?
I dont think I need to adjust body height too much. If it can be disabled, it should be fine.
