Ambient Air Temp. Sensor location.
I am officially stuck...
2006 LR3 4.4
Got a P0071 code and picked up a replacement sensor from a local dealer...
Figured I'd replace it, clear the code and wait to see if it corrected. My shop manual
line drawing is...vague...at best. And for the life of me I can not locate where Land Rover put this thing.
I know it's behind the grill (which is off), and in front of the radiator. I got nothing, ugh
Can anyone please get me close. I really would appreciate it. Thank very much!!

Yes, thanks. That is the part for sure
I just can't find it's location in the vehicle. Removing the front skid plate (again) this morning. Taking a look around the passenger side behind the bumper.

Did mine. Took off the central grill and then the plastic deflector plate on top of the bumper cover It was dangling There Bit right but you’ll find it. Mine was damaged by rodents so a rewire and a new location (zip tie to the rescue) and back in business. FYI it seems to take a few hours to accurately reset the temp in the dash display so don’t think you did it wrong straight away!

I'm in Paradise Valley or better known as Pack rat/Roof rat City. I "think" a previous owner installed a generic sensor behind the grill in front of the radiator. Just sort of dangling there. Just favoring the drivers side of center. Pulling my hair out for such a simple problem.....
Finally. I could NOT find the sensor because it was "removed" by a pack rat. My Rover guy eventually found "a wire" behind the bumper. Spliced in a new sensor and all is right with the world. What a pain in the ***.
exactly my situation. Unfortunately north Scottsdale landrover charged me $500 for the Insight ! Now I know !
