Default Any last minute tips?

I found a small leak on my radiator between the metal radiator and the plastic side caps. Looked online and found a replacement from British Atlantic that I will be attempting to install this coming weekend.

Has anyone had to replace their unit? Any how-to's out there? Any last minute tips?

Remove the grill, maybe headlights, Remove air box,Remove cooling fan, fan shroud, its a wrestling match. Remember that the fan loosens to the right(righty loosey). A few small 8mm bolts you need to get from the front.

Get an airlift UView coolant filler.

Welcome, I should have added that you need a compressor to use the coolant tool. It removes all the air n the system and fills with the existing vacuum created by sucking all the air out. Lifesaver when doing coolant jobs.

Since you need to strip so many parts out, It might be a good time to change your serpentine belt. Phil

Oooooh....if you're doing that, don't forget to change the tensioner for the updated one!

I am the 2nd owner of the LR and I just purchased it in January. The previous owner had all maintenance done by the dealer and just had the 120k service done... Do you think the belt would be replaced on that service. the previous owner said it was a big service...

I don't think so. I recently had it done because I asked for it.

So I finally got around to tackling this project this weekend. The radiator was pretty straightforward but when I went to replace the transmission cooler lines, I failed miserably! Has anyone ever replaced these? Is there a trick to getting them out? I was able to disconnect them but no matter what I tried, I could not get them out of the vehicle...
