Looks like a really nice piece of kit, to bad that you have to pull it, to do an oil change. Although, I'd rather have to remove it than figure out what the rock smashed on a LR3

There is a cross brace at the bottom of the front bumper. The captive nut on the bar, part of the mounting hardware, should have been installed in the cross brace. Now the front of the skid plate sits flush in the bumper....much better...
Weight savings over stock? I realize it's akin to changing a light bulb on a tank and determining weight savings but just curious. The stock plate has some heft to it
Well, to be honest....I didn't have the stock plate, hence the purchase. It is heavy duty aluminum and it probably weights around 15lbs...? i am just guessing....
After looking at the stock skid plate, it doesn't actually look too bad. Can't decide if I should upgrade now. You were definitely smart to if you didn't have one .

I had to...just came back from the snow and had to plow though some spots. Worked as planned...
