Awaiting "the call" from the dealer
Wow. You guys are right on the money. I had just replaced my rear pads and rotors before this happened. Even though I followed Bodsy's Brake Bible and adjusted the parking brake, it looks like the parking brake may have jammed or somehow got stuck on the rotor. You inspired me to go take a look at the rotors this evening and this is what I found.

You can see a "burned" area on the outside of the rotor!!! Makes me wonder how hot it got because you can actually see where the paint/anti-rust coating started to bubble off. Crazy. Do you think it's possible that this compromised the integrity of the rotor at all? I wouldn't think so, but perhaps somebody has more insight than me.

Ok gents, got the word from the dealer a little bit ago. Apparently the technician that recently replaced the rotors bad pads misguided the parking brake wires and that caused the brake to trigger. That tech of course was me! I will get more details when I pick it up Thursday.
