Default BEEPING SOUND

HAS ANYONE HAD THIS HAPPEN? AFTER SHIFTING TO DRIVE THERE WAS A CONTINOUS BEEPING NOISE AND NOTHING APPEARED IN THE MESSAGE CENTER.I STOPPED AND SHIFTED BACK TO PARK THEN TO DRIVE AND IT QUIT.THIS IS THE ONLY TIME IT HAS HAPPENED. NOT SURE WHAT IT WAS. HAVENT CONTACTED THE DEALER YET. JUST CURIOUS. I HAVE A 05 LR3 V8 SE. THANKS

Sounds like your proximity sensor. Do you have them? Do you know what they are? Was there anything close to either bumper when you shifted to Drive? If so, then your proximity sensors are doing exactly what they are suposed to do.

I HAVE THE SENSORS ON THE BACK BUT THIS WAS A DIFFERENT BEEP. WEIRD I KNOW. IMGONNA ASK THE DEALER ABOUT IT. THANKS.

Mine go off if a bus comes within 10 ft.
