Big coolant leak
So when my daughter came home from church this a.m. there is a big puddle of coolant under her LR3. There's no visible coolant in the overflow tank but thankfully when I took the lid off I could at least hear some coolant gurgling/sloshing around, so it's not completely dry. I will have it towed to a shop in the a.m.
I wouldn't think a water pump or radiator leak would account for such a sudden, large leak. Seems like it could be hose? I started the car and the temp was still smack in the middle so I am thinking/hoping that we didn't have an overheat/damage situation.

Well, I topped off the coolant tank, drove the vehicle around for a bit, and it's sitting in my driveway and I can't get it to leak a drop right now.
Looking down below the radiator with my flashlight, in whatever pan that is under the engine, there is radiator fluid standing, so certainly lots of evidence of a leak besides all of the obvious prestone on my my driveway. Time to take it in for a thorough look-over.

Well, the mechanic is reporting that I have the wrong type of coolant in the system from my recent heater core flush/refill, and that caused a part to break. I went with precisely the coolant Autozone told me, so I am not sure what happened. The coolant is just standard Autozone 50/50 green. Is that not correct?
