Default Bought a 2006 lr3 and need some feedback urgently!!

I bougt a 2006 lr3 v6 with very low mileage an the car is great and in one peace but when you drive in highway speed it becomes very unstable in the back and starts jumping around, is that normal? Or do i probably need to replace the shocks?

Not normal. Get it on a lift or jack stands and inspect wheel bearings, control arms, tires, etc.

^ I second all that. No point in guessing, these things are straight and steady with good parts and alignment. Stop driving, inspect it now.

So you didn’t drive it at highway speeds before buying obviously. First off, don’t take it to a LR dealer. Secondly, get under it and inspect it either on a lift or go buy some ramps from an auto parts store. Unless you know someone in a shop who will do it for you. Report back your findings, photos help if you find something obvious.

I'm guessing that by your question of 'is this normal', you are not especially mechanically inclined as no vehicle should jump around or become unstable at highway speeds. As others have said get it on some ramps/jacks and if you are not really familiar with what you are looking for, have someone who is look at it. If it really is jumping around, there should be something pretty obvious to see.

Oh and - don't drive it until its been looked at. If you have a worn out wheel bearing or something else, the last thing you will want is for it to totally fail while driving.

1. did you just buy it, as in the past week or 2?
2. was it from a dealership?

if yes to both, take to them and tell them they need to fix it. Some states have a state enforced lemon/warranty period where any failures have to be fixed by the dealership that sold it. Usually between 30 and 90 days after the sale date.

I had a 2005 LR3 that felt squirrel-y in the rear. Back end felt like it wasn't tracking properly. It ended up being the alignment.

I had bought it in an auction it was a trade in from a dealer who sold it in the auction only problem it had was a cracked dash and aparently the instability in the rear when driving at high way speeds, it tends to jump around when you take little bumps on the road at high speeds. I still think it was a a good buy as i got it with 90k miles for 4ķ. I believe the problem are the rear shocks but am not sure cause its my first car with air suspension
