Default brake pad wear sensor/chassis vin ??

I'm changing pads and need a sensor. Apparently there are 2 different ones depending on chassis vin. Where is this number located, I can't find anything in the manual, and someone asked here and didn't get an answer?

cheers

I had my RR sensor break when I was doing my brake pads/rotors. I simply cut the end off (where the sensor broke) and shorted the two wires together used a beenie with silicone in it, and zip tied it completely out of the way. No more problems for me.

Sorry, but I'm not gonna deal with those silly delicate sensors every time I have to work on my LR3 when I can check the brake pad thickness myself at every oil change. 60.00 I can spend (for the pair) on other things.

It's the last part of the VIN, starting at digit 10 in this case.
