brake, possible suspension problem, can anyone help?
I own 05 LR3, since I purchased it, I had wheels and tires replaced (oem tires were not worn properly so it was howling on the highway) with 22inch wheels and tires. the rotors were wraped and I replaced the pad/rotor with oem units. after about 500 miles the rotors are warped again so bad when it feels like I'm driving on rumble strips on the freeway. I don't wash the car until it's cooled off (especially the rotors) and I have not dismounted the wheel off the vehicle, and used torque wrench when I reintalled the wheels after replacing the pad/rotor. it only lasted few hundred miles before returning. is there any known issues with wheel bearing or ball joints that I need to address? any help would be appreciate it. (nearest dealer is 150 miles away)
Things to look out for in a used LR3:
- worn bushings in the front suspension control arms
- worn bushings in the front and rear sway bars
- test drive on dirt or loose/broken pavement. If there is “knocking†felt through the steering console, the bushings are shot. They are the one true weak spot in an otherwise extremely durable rig.

thanks, now that I think about it, I think I do feel some harshness with bumps and whatnot. I thought it was because of my low profile tires, but I'll check them out. thanks again
Sounds like you are driving it hard. What brand of pad and rotors did you install?
If you brake hard with Rovers undersized brake system you will toast the brakes and those big wheels just add to the problem.

That being said, I don't know what to suggest. Rovers have had under sized brake issues but not to the extent you are describing.
today I had a friend goes from one steering lock to other then once at the steering stop, had him move the steering wheel back and forth (less then 1/8 a turn) while on off road height as well as nomral height. only thing I noticed was that the lower control arm bushing had small lateral movement and looked like the bushing thickness was different from front one to rear(on rear side of the lower control arm) also, on the driver side lower control arm the rear bushing rotated slightly as the wheel moved back and forth. sway bar link, ball joints, wheel bearing didn't have any play visually nor looked damaged. I'm thinking about replacing both of the lower control arm bushings on either side. any other suggestions?
