2006 LR3 .. I get a brief moaning sound when turning on or off ac. Air just running hot.


Any suggestions please let me know

Its the recirculation door. There is a TSB on the fix. If you press the recirculation button you can get it to repeat on cue if it's it. The door does activate other times too, which is why you can hear it without using recirculation. I've attached the fix, but I dont think I dove in quite as far as they did to apply grease. Also I used plumbers silicon grease. Since the application years ago it has never come back.

Your just hot air issue is probably a whole other thing. Your main blend door may have failed. Are both sides warm?
