I've been going back and forth. I got some lights the other day and was going to put them on the roof rack but my wife says "nooooooo put em on the front it looks better". But I want something strong I think as I'll be on some rough trails.
Although if I could make it look good quick til I get one built......

...anyone sawed one of the factory A-Frame brush bars in half to see if they are rubber all the way through? I don't think they are.

Agree that they are mostly for looks, but mine's been on the Rover for nearly 11 years and been on all kinds of trails. It still looks and feel solid. Granted, I haven't hit any trees or cows with it, but it has served me well.

Actually, not so much. I think there is one other option available in the states?

Regardless, it's a bit much to buy a full steel bumper just for mounting lights. Though as long as we're talking bumpers I'll put in my $.02 and say I bought an ARB and wish I'd have gone with Tactical. Very poor winch access on the ARB.
