Buying LR3 - CarFax v AutoCheck (Experian)
Well done for spending the time and energy on finding a good one. I am in Madison, Wisconsin. Give me a call if you need any help or advice - I do most of my own work on my LR3. I strongly advice that you consider doing some work to get the vehicle ready for winter - silicone spray treatment on all rubber door seals, grease all hinges, heated battery blanket, heated oil pan pad, and of course get all fluids checked.
Thanks Neville!! Was just in your neighborhood for Thanksgiving. Took my wife, daughter, and Ausie up to a cabin near Castle Rock Lake. Enjoyed a wonderful trip with our new (to us) LR3. Worked flawlessly and had some great fried turkey and s'mores around the campfire.
I appreciate the offer to help. I try to work on my vehicles as much as I can but I respect my limits. Have leearned the hard way. I appreciate the winterizing advice. I've lived here five years but haven't owned a car yet in this climate. Had all the fluids serviced before we drove it up from Houston so they are all fresh. Hoping the need for any kind of heater is mitigated by garage parking most of the time. As for the others I have it on my to do list. Any recommendations on particular products to use? Perhaps some that work better for this climate.
