EBC Pads are great too. That's all I run on my motorcycles!

For me, the slotted/drilled rotors don't make sense on my rover. It causes issues with mud/stones getting caught and gets really annoying.

Well considering I baught my rig for only mild off road use and to use during the winter time, better stopping is king... I am out here in northern nevada, so we actually get a decent winter some years

Well replaced the rotors pads and all hardware bled the crap out of the brakes after emptying the reservoir and filling with fresh fluid. Man this was the first night I got to drive this thing and wow I am happy. Things runs drives like a dream, appears all suspension components have been replaced not too long ago, no slop in anything! Changing oil currently fm, replacing cabin and air filters. Then time to get my detail clean on, previous owner was a smoker and it smells like an ash tray.

Awesome! Glad to hear you're doing well with it! It's the cheapest LR3 I've ever heard of someone picking up yet!

Well I detailed this thing out two weekends in a row, almost no trace of smoke anymore. Been putting some more miles on this beast. so far put a couple hundred on it with not major concerns. You all might have seen my vibration thread, have not had the vibration occur in a week its weird.

Found a couple drops dripping off of the passenger side/center exhaust pipe. Appears to be transmission fluid or maybe coolant, hard to tell. I will have to do some investigating on that. I never noticed it before, I looked under this truck about 100 times looking for leaks. this one just showed up.

If it's coming down on the crossover pipe or especially on the frame cross member at the rear of the tranny, then it is almost certainly tranny fluid from the mechatronics sleeve. Pretty common, though apparently they have redesigned the part now. Not a DIY for the faint of heart though as it requires dropping the tranny pan.

Oh, and I would only notice the leak on mine when I parked for a long time on a hill (nose up).

Yep Noticed it with the nose up parked on my driveway, I had been parking it up closer to house on the level ground. Its a very small leak right now, if it gets greater I will pull the pan and do a trans service.

Damn I love this thing. I think I got a deal of the lifetime. Nothing at all is wrong with this thing with 216000 miles on it. It was obviously well taken care of and had proper services completed throughout its life. The vibration has not came back either. I love the comfort and smoothness compared to my DII. Obviously the v8 power is nicer than the 4.6 in the DII as well lol.

Yup...I've had the Rover for 10 years now and it still feels damn good to be in it. Sometimes, since I don't drive it often, I just go sit in it (in the garage) and have a beer. Is that weird?

I have to confess though, about 18 months ago we bought an Infiniti Q50S. The thing is so damn fast and fun that around town I prefer driving it to the Rover.

...but for any "Adventure Drives" it has to be the LR3.
