Camber (Alignment) Tabs
Hi all,
Anyone else encounter an issue where the alignment tabs on the frame are worn out and can't really be used anymore to align the vehicle? Apparently one solution is to weld on new ones. Problem is, I don't think the tabs are sold separately, so I'd need to fabricate some. Anyone done this? Anyone have any good specs on these tabs? I don't even know what they look like!

If you remove the arms, you can get a punch behind those tabs and pop them out.
They are not add on items, they are punched out of the frame tabs.
you could weld a woodruff key in place if the punch does not work.

My recollection is that they are just half moons pressed out of the frame rail. Meaning a little extra metal to use as a stop for the eccentric washer. I could see how they are shaved off or worn down. It could be under the washer if the last person to align it wasn’t careful.
A spot weld on the frame with a ground flat edge would do the same thing.

Is there access to the back side of the tabs to allow them to be punched out?
I think welding on a Woodruff Key is what is being suggested to me; I just didn't know it until I got a look at it.

My preference would be to just remove the bolt, grind down the existing excess metal, and weld a Woodruff Key on either side of the hole. Reason why: this is what the Service Department has recommended "on the sly" and it sounds like they have done this before....they just aren't allowed to officially recommend it. If the punch-out method were easier/better, they'd suggest that, I'd think. Or maybe you're just ahead of them, Abran!

I'd think mostly you have to disconnect the battery and ground the welder somewhere close to where the welding is taking place, via grounding clamp.
