Question Changing Brakes

Currently have an '08 LR3 and need to change my brakes at about 24k miles. The sensor has not popped yet but dealer recommended that I change them out along with the rotors.

Needless to say, I am only changing the brakes at this point but when I attempted to do so the air suspension dropped the car automatically when I went to jack it up. Is this normal?

The manual says to lock the suspension of which I am aware that other cars are able to do but the same thing happened when I thought I had locked it. It doesn't seem the locking worked but do I just ignore this and proceed to change the brakes and if so will this affect the suspension in any way?

Can't help you with the suspension but want to know what brake pads you are planning to install, this is important if you don't want squeaking, brake dust and having them wear out again so soon?

I am planning on installing the EBC brakes along with the sensors even though they have yet to pop.

As for the suspension, since this occurred my only concern now is if I ever need to change a flat. I am wondering if I should drop the car and then jack the car.

My tires also need changing so if you have any recommendations, I'll take them. Seen so many on the forums.

Thanks Mike!

If you haven't purchased them yet, you might consider buying Akebono ceramic pads, they will last longer, make no dust, stop better and not squeak.
