Default Coil pack bolts won't come out.

Hi everyone. Got a Cyl 8 misfire hit and decided to change all the plugs as a starting point since it needed to be done anyway. Almost all of my coil pack bolts will not come out. They simply turn and turn. My assumption is that the brass nutcerts in the valve cover have broken loose and are just spinning with the bolts. Has anyone run into this issue? This is the 4.4 motor. I believe this motor is multi platform and came in Range Rovers also so it should be a widely used motor so I'm hoping someone else has (unfortunately) run into this issue. So far as I can tell it's looking like the solution is to replace the valve covers which is going to be a massive pain. Any thoughts or advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

There are no coil packs on the 4.4, just individual coils.

I have not seen or heard of this issue. I wonder if someone was in there before and used a powered tool for reinstall and stripped em? I hope not. Have you tried to VERY gently tap them down? I have seen inserts pull up if over-torqued, so tapping them a little helps them bite a bit more. Otherwise if they really are spinning that free you should be able to just pull em up. Then you could get a different size, slightly larger. Drill and insert new ones.

Same issue drivers side (LH) rear by firewall, spinning spline/stud, going to figure out a way to pry it up/ out..

Take a nail puller, and your ratchet. Use the nail puller to apply somewhat gentle upwards pressure on the bolt as you turn it. Then, ideally, rethread or replace the insert.
