Default Compiling a Network of Independent Mechanics Across The Americas

Well, like the title suggests... I'd like to start compiling an informal list of independent LR mechanics and resources that stretch from Alaska all the way through to the southern tip of South America.

The intended use would be for driving the PanAmerican highway in a Land Rover, but as you can imagine it might be useful for any LR adventure enthusiast. For now my plan is to put the information into a spreadsheet that is listed directionally by state/country from AK to SA, with a Google map that corresponds with pins placed for their general location for a visual representation as well (although not necessarily address correct specificity)

I say "informal" because obviously there's going to be a lot of fluctuation in the accuracy of this list over time, but it would be such a great starting point compared to just googling "Land Rover Mechanic in [Santiago]" if you knew you needed something done at a shop. This list would ultimately either be 100% publicly available, or potentially jsut publicized here on the forum and then made available to whomever comes across posts about this resource and requested access (the latter option would provide some degree of privacy for those listed on the sheet, help keep numbers of folks using the sheet limited, and so that help funnel inquiries to parties that are actually interested in the info - happy to hear thoughts on this).

I have created a new Google Account specifically for this project but, not quite going to share it yet because I want to get proof of concept and see if this is doable and/or if there are other similar resources.

Let me know if you're interested and then obviously DM me if you have a resource to share.

Cheers!

ps - While this list in now way should be specific to only the Disco 3/4, I have a 3 so for me personally, would be the intent of this list.

In San Mateo County I can strongly recommend Peninsula European Car Service from personal experience. Can be a bit pricy depending on the job, and they are often booked out in advance. But the absolute best knowledge around on Land Rovers. They have years of experience working and owning several LRs. They could diagnose a few issues with a D2 and LR3 with just a brief verbal explanation. Very chatty too and provide so invaluable tips and tricks.

I can recommend CARRS4x4, for Southern CA folks; Abran & Aleth are an amazing team.
