Default Continuous Height Sensor failure

I have been having an on going issue with my back left height sensor. I am on my 5th or 6th one now. I get maybe 500 miles per sensor before I get the 'general electrical failure' fault. As far as I can tell it in on properly, not misaligned. The only thing I can think of is voltage spikes or a bad ground is causing a heat build up. Has anyone else heard of this?

How are you calibrating it after install?

Do you have the Hitachi or AMK compressor, and more importantly, if it's AMK, have you had the latest software patch installed?

I calibrate using the GAP IID tool. I have the AMK compressor and I have the AMK software selected, but I don't know what version of software it is

I believe a new patch came out rather recently. Before getting it updated (just a few months ago) I was getting random EAS faults including "general electrical failure" myself. After the patch, I did a long trip (700'ish miles) including some off-roading and had zero faults.

I don't know if the new software patch is the answer, but it couldn't hurt.
