Default control arm compatibility

I am due to replace my front upper and lower control arms on my D3. I have read many posts about using the same generation rrs lower control arms but haven't found any posts about using the uppers. It looks like the rrs uses higher quality or at least stiffer upper arms. They are cast alloy instead of stamped steel. Has anyone tried them? It does look like I would need to use the rrs sway link too.

The same era RRS arms are exactly the same albeit apart the bushes or the armoured models, the cast ones are from the later series and not compatible.
No real benefit so 'd be sticking to the oem arms.

I got a chance to see a set in person. the sway link mounts at a right angle instead of through and the height sensor bracket is different. I just purchased the oem arms for less hassle. The are lighter but not by much. They are probably a good deal stiffer. Might be worth the effort if trying to support a heavy wheel tire combo.
