Default Coolant leak

Hello everyone,
Hoping I could get pointed in the right direction. I have a 2006 4.4L with a 162K miles. I recently changed the radiator, upper and alower radiator hoses, water pump, and the bleeder valve. I have driven about 3K miles since those repairs and am smelling coolant everytime after I drive from under the hood. I top off the coolant about every two weeks. I put a pressure tester on it and the pressure seems to drop when its hot and seems to slow down as the engine cools. I can't seem to find any coolant visible leaking. Any thoughts? I found another thread and saw someone had a new water pump leaking but cannot see anything coming from there.

Thank you!

Look at the bell housing from underneath the vehicle, if it’s the water cross over it leaks towards the back down the sides of the bell housing on the trans.

also, did you overheat it before changing rad? Could be something more serious than a leak.

I bought the LR3 with with 157K used from a private owner. He had a pretty good service history. I replaced the radiator because of a leak and just replaced everything else while I was there. I haven't over heated it but it has been running great for me aside from this.

Which is the cross over you are talking about? Do you have a picture?

Ah ok . Yeah I have check that. My only other place it to remove the water pump pulley and visually see if the water pump is leaking or not. The only other thing I could think of was removing the throttle body housing and checking under the intake manifold for coolant build up. When saying something more serious are you think it could be a head gasket? I checked around the exhaust manifold and engine but could not visually see anything. IF it were leaking into the cylinder wouldn't I have over heating or misfire issues?

Yes, most likely. A head gasket usually shows a rough start/misfire until all the coolant burns off. Usually.

we bought one that seemed fine but had a Head Gasket problem.

i only mentioned that because you had done all the previous work and seemingly you have no leaks but are missing coolant.

is there always a pocket of coolant in the top of your expansion tank even after the motor has cooled?

Harbor freight sells a pressure tester that works on LR3s.

buy that and pressure test it. Leave it for 15-30 min. You will see coolant on the ground.

I did pressure test it and it would drop a few psi after about 15 minutes. It doesn't to have a rough start or misfire when started. If it was leaking into the cylinder would I be smelling it under the hood? I guess that is where I am confused.
