Yet, oil does escape. Through PCV into the TB, intake and eventually burned up and sent through the exhaust. This is why many engines, some much more than others, need to have oil topped off between changes. Before PCV systems there were road draft tubes fitted that allowed crank fumes, containing vaporous oil, to exit the engine. This actually had the problem of creating oily road surfaces that could get slick when wet.

I'm confused as to the importance of this disagreement, I would say an engine is ideally a closed system, and you are nitpicking at places where the system is broken.

Regardless, things are ideally not supposed to leak out. You can clearly see evidence of coolant burning in an engine, and the way it bonds to oil. None of this is being contested.

She drove it for 2 days like that and of course the dash lit up in excitement. I believe now that it won’t start at all. So...what are the theories of what has happened to this engine, and how would it be remedied?
I'm curious about the outcome, did you get it going? Some of today's engines can take some pretty brutal punishment, others not so much...
