Default Coolant Reservoir Placement

Still getting to know this new to me truck. Was replacing the hood latch sensor this morning and noticed that the windscreen cleaner reservoir pipe was not attached to anything. Upon closer examination, I could see that it is supposed to connect to the coolant reservoir for support. But the coolant reservoir is sitting at a tilt so the connections don’t match up.

it’s hard to see in the picture but the coolant reservoir is just off enough that it won’t match up with the washer fluid pipe. I can’t see how to straighten it out without forcing things. I don’t want to break the two arms of the reservoir that bolt on to to the truck. This would have been put in this way before I got the truck.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

tks

You may be just over thinking it.

The washer refill part has lots of play in it, just put it into the slot where it is held onto the coolant reservoir.

Tks. I’ve tried and no can do.Unfortunately , I ended up pulling it out of the holding tank trying to get it to attached correctly and had to take out the headlight to get it back in.

I think my washer fluid tank and filler are clear plastic like the coolant tank so maybe the washer filler and tank are poorly made replacements that don't fit correctly?

Remove the lower two 10mm (I think) bolt holding the "foot" of the expansion tank down. Then internet the tank properly into the two slots at the crash frame. Then put the two bolts back. This is a really common issue. The coolant and power steering caps will look level when done right, not tilted into the engine bay.

What Dakota said above. Here's a picture of the other mounts.
