cracked sunroof

Hi, I've owned my 2005 LR3 for 2 years now and I just noticed that both my rear "non-openning" sun roofs are cracked. Should I care? no leaks or anything.

It is a double pane window. Odds are just one of the panel is cracked so you may never get a leak.

Just out of curiosity, was there a high end model that allowed those two back windows to open?

No. The rear two never opened unlike in a Discovery II series where the rear one would open. The only other option was an all metal roof.

curious i can not get both of my sunroofs to open at all? I'm afraid that once open they wont close, any ideas???

There is only 1 sunroof and other the 2 are just part of the single piece panoramic glass.

My rear sunroof was cracked as well. I had a glass shop pull one off of a salvaged LR3 and install. Wasn't cheap ~$500, but wasn't as much as brand new OEM with install either which was going to be 2k plus IIRC>

I wonder if it would Be worth it to have the roof glass covered with a clear film. Kinda like a screen protector for the phone…?

The possibility of major hail taking it out worry me
