if it is just a canoe flip it upside down and put it on then tie it down to the rear bumber anchor pt and the same to the front and you are done but tie it tight. i have carried kayaks that way all thie time when i used to hit the white water back in undergrad have sniper show you he must know how if he is making you let others know it is not him
