Default Cruise Control warning noise LR3 S

Hey guys
I was wondering if you can help me, on the weekend I was driving on a sealed road and had been using the cruise control for some time, as I approached another car I touched the brake pedal and as the cruise control disengaged the car made a single warning tone [bong], no lights lit up and the cruise disengaged normally.
The car did nothing differently that every other time I'd applied the brake. It didn't do it again for a couple of hours, then did it in a similar situation again, cruising at 110 Km/h on the open road, slowing to approach a slower vehicle.

The car [LR3 s TDV6] had been serviced in the week leading up to this trip, it ran excellently getting an average of 800 Km's per tank of diesel.

I am only asking in case there is something that I need to be concerned about as there were no warning lights and no change in performance.

Thanks in advance for any and all help

Do you have parking sensors? front and back? It could be them. Mine pings when I come to a stop behind another car or if a car pulls up behind me.

I don't think I have parking sensors, it's a base model and it's pretty well the basic Disco 3. There is no switch for parking sensors and I didn't see them on there but I will have a closer look.
