Default Cylinder 2 Misfire

Hello,

2005 LR3 SE V8
I have been battling a Misfire for a month now and I am needing help.

It is just cylinder 2 and here is what I've done so far. I have tried replacing plugs, swapping injectors, BG44K fuel treatment, cleaning the MAF, Throttle body looks clean, always fun highest oct gas.

Here's what is happening? Usually the first start in the morning will have a rough idle (although the need doesn't jump, just by feel and sound). If I don't let it warm up for a few minutes and try driving I will get a "Reduce Engine Performance" message and a blinking check engine light.

If I pull over, turn it off and wait a minute or two. Majority of the time, she will start back up and have a smooth idle.

Other times the idle is fine and randomly when I stop at a light, I will feel it start acting up.

It makes me wonder if it is a voltage thing.

Here is my first question (I've done a lot of searching and still don't have a confident answer) where is cylinder 2? I have seen conflicting diagrams online and also from the box auto part stores. Some show it is on the driver side and others on the passenger side. Where is cylinder?

What would y'all suggest?

I have 4 new fuel injectors but I'm not sure which side the cylinder is on?

Please help me.

What about wires and/or coils? Thermostat? How does that temp gauge look?

First cylinder on Driver side.

Switch #2 coil with #4 and see if it follows.

Thanks. I'll swap them when I get home and see if it follows.

The temp gauge sits a hair below midway when she is heated up.

This morning I started her up, had a rough idle, drove for about 8 miles, Turned it off and dropped off my dry cleaning, came back out and she had a smooth idle.

It is like something is either shorting out or a bad connection

So I have swapped out the coils of #2 and #4 and the misfire stayed with #2.

Does this seem like a fuel injector issue?

I have new injectors but couldn't locate a good DIY on taking it on. Does anyone know of a link for that?

In an earlier post you said you swapped the injectors, what happened there?

A fuel rail cleaning with the BG VIA system would unclog a clogged injector. Not sure if your injector is bad or just clogged.

I swapped two injectors but they were on the passenger side. I went to autozone and the firiing diagram they gave me had Cylinder #2 on the passenger side.

These are the codes she is throwing:
PO302
PO316
PO352
PO354

Hey thanks for all of the help. I've decided to just replace the fuel injectors since I already have those and it would cost more money to use the injector cleaner to get the same results.

Does anyone have a diy on changing the injectors?
When I search for one I can't find one for the lr3 but only older models.

Normally I would just start taking things apart and try to figure it out but since we have fuel involved I'm nervous.
