Default D1S Headlight Bulb: Sworch to LED or keep HID

I'm trying to see what D1S bulbs you guys use to replace your current ones. I heard OSRAM Night breakers were great, anyone switched to LEDs?

I never knew the LR3 even used D1S at any point, I have only seen D2S. And I use Phillips because I like the color temp. LEDs will not work, period. The projectors are not designed for them. HIDs have a very small, very specific light output point. LEDs on the other hand have that light spread across a much larger area which will result in glare and improper projected focus.

Now I'm double guessing myself.. I have had a list for a while now of all bulbs in the car and it says HID-D1S for the low beams of a factory HSE with the adaptive lights...

Should be D2S that's what fits in these HID housings, also I believe the oem spec is 4300K so keep that in mind

I didn't realize there was a LR3 with anything but a H7 bulb.

Interesting you've never seen one, all HSEs and some specced out SEs all came with HID xenon D2S bulbs, some even have the AFS cornering lights that turn swivel on either side when you're turning its pretty cool

I guess I'm not LR blue blood enough. Our LR4 has them, but not my LR3 or any friends LR3's have them.

Then watch this. But keep in mind it is 8 years old, so I am sure there have been some advances by some brands but still good to watch.
