A Mack truck decided to make a U-Turn infront of me yesterday and my little car slammed into the side of it. Now my daily driver is totalled and I am looking at getting a used LR3. I don't know very much about them and was needing some help. What years should I be leaning towards? What are common problems that they have? Are they rediculously expensive to maintain? Should I buy a certified pre-owned? Should I get the expented warr? Blah Blah Blah... Any help would be greatly appreciative. I will mainly be using the LR3 for everyday travel but I am not afraid to take it up to the mountains and getting a little dirty. My other toy is a 1982 CJ7 but I dont want to drive it everyday. I am looking to spend close to $20,000 for a used one. Am I being unrealistic with the price? Thanks again

We hope to welcome you amongst our ranks. This question comes up probably once a week or so, so doing a search will net you better results than I can give you in a post. That said, I love mine, have had zero problems. They are more reliable than previous generation Land Rovers. I had a Discovery 2 before the LR3 and loved it but decided on the LR3 because the Discoveries were known for early fatal engine problems in some model years.
