Debadging Ashtray
Hey all,
So I've always hated the cigarette logos on the ashtray and plug door. So with some free time today, I pulled the ashtray out, did a little light sanding to remove the cigarette logos, and hit it with some flat black spray paint.
Once you pull the ashtray straight out, there are two clips holding the cover to the actual ashtray. Use a flat head screwdriver and gently pop off the cover.
This mod was free as I had the spray paint already. I haven't looked at what is involved in removing the other cover with the cigarette logo but if it is too complex, I may just lay down a liner and paint it in the car.
More to come

That part of the dash is like urban Blythe, it is unused real estate and should be re-purposed. I put in one of Abrans panels and it now includes 2 round plugs that have 4 USB outlets, switches for front and rear lights on my roof rack, a switch to turn on the cmaera on my front bumper and a dual battery meter to keep track of the main an aux battery voltage.
You could just blank them off, but you will soon find a need for these little gems of space on your dash..... I did.
