left sunroof drain was not draining out after testing. blew air through it and retested and water flows right out. Hosed the car everywhere top to bottom and underneath and can't get the problem to replicate, so until it happens again I'll assume it's that. Thanks for all the help. Appreciate it.

Funny. After all that and no more leaking I drove it no more than two blocks and the carpet right there got soaked again. It's like it's pooling somewhere around the dead pedal and sloshing out when the car moves.

You got a door seal leak I bet. I have heard of issues with the rear door causing issues.

Thanks everybody. Turns out I think it's the windshield cowl. It's warped off the window and pouring water down it leads to wet carpet through the air intake I gather. I ordered a new cowl today and will also replace the A pillar trims. Going to try and tackle myself. Found a good link on how to.
