Electronics gone crazy after storm
Now this is a "told you so moment". I am always telling my wife to close the windows up when she gets home, and getting criticized for it. So last night it was really hot and she left the windows open and we had a storm. She Drove to work okay but with a wet seat. Had to use the manual key to unlock after work and tonight the interior lights came on by themselves. Then the car locked itsself and set off the alarm then we unlocked it with the remote and it then locked itsself again after a few minutes.
I have disconnected the battery and put it on charge, whilst hoping that whatever got wet will dry out and the memory will reset. Got to get up at 5am to check it out! God help us if we get robots! At least they should remember to close the windows though!

....boy, that is NOT the kind of "I told you so" I'd want. I think the best advice here is to pull up the floorboard carpet on the passenger side, and the kick plate, and dry out the wiring harnesses running along that area, cleaning up any corrosion you see on connectors.

It dried out overnight and I reconnected the battery and everything seems back to normal. Having had Landrovers all my life they were '90s 110s. one was a diesel 110 with high level intake. In the floods in Ambleside Cumbria I rescued some car drivers the fire brigade could not get to. The 110 filled with water and I had a bow wave up the screen - Water was up to my knees in the vehicle, that is why they do not wash away like everything else! Then my Range Rover with an ECU located conveniently under the seat? Bet it does not work under water!
