Default Factory Replacement Leather or Aftermarket Seats?

I’m looking into replacing the bottom cushion covers and armrest covers on my factory seats, but with the cost involved, I could replace the front seats with some aftermarket seats that would be just as comfortable for nearly half the price. My question is, has anyone installed aftermarket seats in their LR3, and if so, what were the issues you ran into? I figure I can likely reuse the factory bases and mount the new seats to them to retain some of the motorized functions, and I will try to utilize the factory heated seat wiring as well.

Well, one issue is the airbags on the outside of both backrests. Second issue is with the pressure switch on the passenger side to turn on or turn off the dash airbags, Third could be if you have heated seats the computer will know the heating elements are not there. I may be missing something else, but I am just not sure at the moment. It may come to me and in which case I will replay again.

But, hey just a quick thought.

Jeff
