Default Fan Clutch. Let me tell you how much I hate you...

Cannot get it off.

Even with an air hammer.

Tried every trick in the book.

Even heated it up.

Anyone have any unorthodox hints, tips, techniques etc. ?

Last resort I'll cut it off and buy a new one...

(which may need to be done anyway as I think I have to do the water pump...)

I rented on of the those (the bolt holder) from my auto parts store. I'm not sure it held the pulley bolts very well. Then again it could have been my lousy wrench I bought.

I can't believe that the air hammer kit won't even work...

I have in the past skipped the supplied wrench for a large Husky crescent wrench and a pipe extension

I can see that as an advantage...

What did you use to hold the pulley?

I used a 36 inch pipe wrench around the outside of the pulley and giant pair of channel locks to turn the nut. Works the first time every time.
