Fan Clutch. Let me tell you how much I hate you...
It’s above and behind. The uppermost pulley on the second serpentine belt is the water pump.
I have a petrol V6 and it goes anti clockwise to undo - I go by which way the tips of the blade are pointing

I have taken a screw driver and jammed it between the belt and pulley, then used my fan clutch wrench and hammer. This prevented the belt from moving and allowed me to loosen the fan clutch.
I just had this fun on the weekend. I ended up using the air hammer to hit on the fan clutch nut to loosen the rust, other build up.... Sprayed with penetrant liberally prior to that, of course. Then air hammered the top of the handle of the 36 mil wrench as it was sitting on the nut. Spun right off...
Funny you say this. I am sure my LR3 V8 4.4 Gas is clockwise. But the tips of my fan point to the left if standing in front of them at the radiator.
is there room to do that? I assume you remove the belt. I have a 3 ft. pipe wrench, but it looks like there is no room!
