Just had the code 2404 in the 2008 LR3/Discovery 3.

Looks like Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump ???

Has anyone had to replace or had experience with this fix? Searched here, and looked online elsewhere but there is very little about it for the LR3.

The pump is part of the evap canister that is above the spare tire on the right side of the frame, there are few quick connect fuel vapor lines and an electrical connector.

Part number for the pump should be WTR500020. You can do a web search for a vender.

I also own a 2004 DII and was thinking it may be the fuel cap also. I reset the warning/problem and so far it has not come back. Had very good luck with this LR3 and never thrown codes.
Wasn't sure if a bad seal at the gas cap could cause an "2404" error?
