Number9 and I were just poking fun at newer Discovery's, earlier Discos had gutters & rear mounted tires. Still miss my 98 disco, thing was a tank.
LR3's really are reliable, the only common accruing issue (Every 30k miles) are front control arm bushings. Don't tell houm_wa, but there's times I miss not having an EAS system.

Edited to add: just seen you upsized your tires.... explains the lift. Is this a purely an esthetic thing or is there an advantage to doing it?

2" too much lift for just road driving?
Didn't do it for aesthetics, or even function for that matter... Just didn't make since spending time and money on maintaining something I deemed irrelevant for our (Her) needs.
Don't tow with it, heaviest thing we haul is our luggage. Summer travels, I prefer using my truck (2010 Tundra with under 60k miles, 5.7 v8)
Should add, I am retired...
Solo adventures offroad, solo camping, that doesn't involve air travel. Nicely modified 2006 Jeep wrangler (Also with under 60k miles). hammock for sleeping inside, rack for warmer nights, and an I don't care attitude for every scratch or dent I inflict.
Our daughter leaves for the Marine Corps in 2 months, she had been using my old daily driver, an 04 Tahoe z71. Soon as shes off, Ill sell it, Jeep too maybe.
houm, you're such a dick.
