Default front end allignment part deaux

I mentioned that I read about LRs online, and the allignment issue seems to come up alot...............and people are getting new tires from LR, or are atleast getting a big chunk of the cost covered by LR.

Ther service guy is "gonna check into it". How much should I puch from my side? My LR3 has 21500 miles..............he also mentioned they are using Toyo ??? tires. I'd rather have all terrains if I get new ones.

have them install factory equiped tires, if you push it enough warranty will cover them and dont go for the toyos they are offering them to you because it costs them less money.

Actually, whatever you do, DO NOT let them put Factory tires back on there. Goodyear Wrangler H/Ps are by far the single worse tires I have ever used and most LR3 owners will agree with me.

I agree that you should have "All Terrain" tires put in it's place. Putting anything else on an LR3 is like expecting a marathon runner to perform at his/her best while wearing high heels. I changed my tires right after buying my LR3, while they were still brand new, all at my expense. That is how much I disliked the H/Ps.Check out the Cooper Zeon LTZs and the Goodyear Silent Armors. If you intend to do a LOT of off roading, may want tocheck outNitto Terra Grapplers as well. These three All terrain seem to have the best reviews from actual LR3 owners.

My real question should be, how much should I push to get new tires?

I was told at the first 2 oil changes that I needed an allignment and thought they were trying to sell me something I didn't really need (it's a new car ....). Now, i notice the wear on the tires.

My irritation is that I have never been offroad, and only drive on paved, city streets (no making fun of me). I had a Tahoe with 85000 miles that never needed alligning. And a Ford truck with 95k before that that was fine, and my wifes BMW with 45000 that has had no issues.............now I get a fancy Rover and have to get it done at 22000 miles........it just don't make sense.

Should I push the dealer to warranty the tire, and if so what should I bargain towards? 50/50 on the cost of new, or they buy 3???

there is a bulliten for alignment updates and they will cover it if you push it enough. and go with factory tires they dont use wranglers anymore just to let you know jantiz. if you put anything bigger of tire they can and possibly void your warranty seen it happen.
