Default Front fogs stopped coming on?

I have an 08 LR3 and the front fog lights stopped coming on. The back fogs still turn on when the headlight switch is pulled all the way out but not the front ones. The indicater in the dash for the front fogs does not come on either. Any advice on where to start or what to look for?

check the fuse for that item, sorry don't remember which one it is.

Wiring harness for the fogs is plugged in under the PASS headlamp assembly, but my guess is unless you ripped a wire, or the harness, that isn't the issue. That stuff is fairly robust.

Thanks davC, my first thought was to check the fuses but I haven't looked at them yet. I'll check tomorrow and report back

Default Shorted conductor?

If a fuse has blown, you have a shorted conductor in the fog light wiring near one of the two bulbs.

You can usually tape over the damaged insulation just by removing the fog light assembly, (the the question is which one), as the rubbing of the wire is in the few few inches from the bulb.

It is sort of a common LR3 thing however I though by 2008 LR had rerouted the wires a bit near the fog light, but again, they could have got moved in a bulb change.

Thanks bbyer! I'll dig into it this weekend and see if I can figure it out.

Default link re chaffed wiring

Below is a link on the issue - common and an easy, (for Land Rover), fix.

Thanks guys! Tore into it tonight and both fog lights had chaffed wires right after the harness. I repaired those and replaced the bad fuse to them and all is well!
