Which fuse to use to connect my inboard dash camera?
Does anyone know which fuse to piggy back off of to connect my on board dash camera? I don't want to use the cigarette lighter cord. I'm planning to cut the end off the charger cord and hard wire it to the fuse box using a piggy back fuse.
For anybody else looking for a hardline fuse behind the glove box to connect to its number 28, the ignition fuse. 5 amps. I also didn't cut the end of the charger off but instead I bought a similar 12v Female Cigarette Lighter Socket Connector Cable Plug to connect to from radio shack. See pic below.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera you got? I ask because I've been thinking about getting a few, I'd like to have an interior mounted unit as well as a fore and aft mounted unit for liability / protection, lol you never know these days. Any chance of getting a screenshot or vid?
Hey Bmeier here's the camera I got.
