Default Gap IID Height Calibration with Lift Rods

Question, if using the Gap IID Tool to perform a calibration, how do you compensate for lift rods? Since process instructs to raise/lower each corner to XX inches...would you just add 2.5 inches to that value (in the case of Johnson Rods)?

I don't think it impacts the calibration, but may register on the live values. Personally, I'd remove the Johnson Rods and re-calibrate without them.

I agree, my recommendation too would be to not use the lift rods. However that said, I believe you would still simply calibrate the car based on the factory measurements, the rods would give you a few extra millimeters of upper room to "lift" that height value.

IIRC my old car with no rods could go about 50mm of lift, since a rod tricks the sensor maybe it would do more.

My thought is though if I calibrate with rods on to Gap specified measurements, it will calibrate back to stock height wouldn’t it? It was aligned at lifted height so for now want to keep it there (plus it has oversized tires). I’m not against removing rods and just lifting with Gap but another day as I’m having other critical suspension issues.

yes as GAP uses the LR factory measurement of center of wheel to bottom of fender edge. You would be using stock height settings.

Those measurements would technically be in mm not inches.

Using GAP to set the height pretty much does away with fitting rods so remove and re-calibrate.
