Default GAP tool in Charlotte, NC

Does anyone have a GAP tool in Charlotte, NC I can borrow to turn off the TPMS?

My Nanocom's process is more involved than I want to deal with. I would need to re-flash the ECU.

There was a recent post about which diagnostic device to buy....go with GAP....I already had the Nanocom for my P38 and D2 so just getting the software for the LR3 was less expensive than the GAP tool. If I could do it again I would buy the GAP tool.

Reason why I don't want TPMS. I'm switching wheels and don't want to buy or deal with new sensors.

Thanks

Disabling TPMS requires a vehicle CCF change, so the person owing the GAP tool will need the shop version or you will have to pay $80 for a license to be added to that persons device.

Thanks, that makes sense.

Looks like I'm buying new TPMS sensors with my new wheels and tires.

Score one for Nanocom. At least when you buy the software for the individual model of each type of Land Rover with the Nanocom, in my case LR3, you can use it on any LR3.

You'd rather spend $100s on sensors you don't want, just to avoid an ECU update using a tool you already own?
Is there something horrific about the Nanocom I don't understand?

. . . I re-flashed an ECU with my IIDtool just to get a clock in front of my face

The GAP tool does work on other Rovers, but do to vehicle specifics it needs to be registered and pretty sure a CCF edit will be vehicle specific. Thats just how they have it. Why would yours need to refresh the ECU just for a CCF update? Or why not just pull the module, maybe even just pulling the fuse would kill it? Dash warning saying TPMS is dead, yes, but no light on dash.

I don't know about pulling the module, but when I was diagnosing some tpms issues on my 08 LR3, pulling the fuse did not kill the dash light.
