What do you think would be a good price for a 2008 LR3 HSE in Buckingham Blue with 151,000 miles? no rear locking diff. Has replacement coils for air shocks, new lower control arms, new wheel bearing, new epb cable, no codes, slight rattle


on cold start up then silent, 7 seater, 19' wheels/tires are at 90%. Clean inside and out. Pics soon to come. Selling it for my bro-in-law. Thanks. Ballpark figure. $8000?

 

I think that will partly depend on where it's located. The engine knock may be concerning to some, but not to others. Seems to be the right ballpark, maybe a bit high but again that'll depend on the local market.

$8000 seems like a reasonable list price, maybe with some flexibility in that. The dash cracks and A-pillar lining being loose may be negotiation levers. The rattle is the VVT gear. Expensive repair, but I've never found data that shows downstream effects if ignored, and I've searched...because my '06 does this.

 

How expensive is the vvt gear repair? Thanks.

 

I haven't got a full-on quote, but estimated (by the dealer) at something over $3000.
